Choosing a Print Resource

Thursday, November 11, 2010

Some questions you should ask yourself before you choose a print resource for an assignment or project:

  • Is the author an expert on the subject?
  • Does the book have current information?
  • Are the images and graphics helpful to understanding the text?
  • Is the book convenient to use? In other words, does it have an index, table of contents, bold text, headings, and subheadings?
  • Does the book cover the topic fully and address your questions?
